Artist statement:
I used this picture, because I'm a charger fan. Also, because everyone always asks me why I look so mad. I wanted to see if i could maintain the same facial expression in my vector portrait as the normal one. I started the piece off with a blue monochromatic with stroke. Later, I tried it without stroke and it looked cleaner without it. Then i thought about making it somewhat of the original colors, instead of making it monochromatic. At first, I still liked the monochromatic one, but then later I liked the different colored one. When I finished, I was really impressed with how good it turned out and I am very happy with it.

Statement:
I made this piece starting with the bridge and buildings, because I like the urban scenery. I incorporated used E-40 as my music artist, because he is from the Bay Area, which would explain the bridge. I incorporated the hip-hop genre, because E-40 is a famous hip-hop rapper.
